Dying Light, the zombie-filled first-person action horror game from Techland, was the best-selling game in the United States last month, according to the NPD Group.
Unsurprisingly, the likes of Advanced Warfare and Grand Theft Auto V weren't close behind, coming in second and third place, respectively.
Avalanche Studios has released its first official trailer for Just Cause 3. It's aptly named Firestarter and has been embedded below for your viewing pleasure.
You can be sure this new entry in Avalanche Studios' chaos-heavy action franchise will be loaded with crazy over-the-top moments. Rico is sure to stir up some trouble, and I'm sure that grappling hook will come in handy.
The NPD sales results for January are in, and it looks like Sony has reclaimed the top spot as far as hardware sales go. That's right, PlayStation 4 was the best-selling console in the United States last month.

[Note: The original review for The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D was pulled last week over quality concerns. GameRevolution recognizes this second review as our official review for the game. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience on the review. ~Ed. Nick Tan]
crarr;It ain't a masterpiece, but I couldn't stop playing.
Daedalic's Blackguards 2 is the best game I've played... that begins with a motion comic of an armed guard murdering a cat and throwing it out of the window of a high tower. If this sounds a little facetious, it might be because Blackguards 2 originally was so frustrating that I was prepared to give it a 1.5-star rating.
Back in December Blizzard announced an "Adopt Argi" campaign in World of Warcraft to raise money for Ebola relief. Now the results of that campaign have been released: folks contributed over $1.9 million for the American Red Cross.

Last year, Sega released two Sonic games for Nintendo platforms. Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric for Wii U and Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal for 3DS. Sadly, it doesn't look like either title sold all that well, with overall combined sales totaling to a mere 490,000 copies.
There's an elephant in the room when talking about Battlefield Hardline — a giant, armored elephant that looks like this:
EA and Visceral couldn't have done anything about the current social climate, of course, but the fact still remains that the relationship between citizens and police has been tense, to put it lightly.
BioWare's next major entry in the Mass Effect franchise will feature an online component of some sort.
The news was revealed in a job listing that was advertised in a Tweet by senior development director Chris Wynn. "Things are getting real now and I need an excellent Producer to come shape online for the next Mass Effect," he said.
There are few things the Huns canÄ‚Ë€â„Ët fix.
ItÄ‚Ë€â„Ës difficult to imagine a more thrilling period of ancient history than the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. The drama, the glory, the unprecedented reign and the fiery, dreadfall demise—all just begging to be immortalized by Hollywood, TV, and of course, real-time strategy games. The fine folks at The Creative Assembly have known this for well over a decade, and while 2013Ä‚Ë€â„Ës didnÄ‚Ë€â„Ët quite live up to the lofty divinations its groundbreaking forebear emphatically implied, it did eventually morph into a near-equally solid title. It may have taken ample fan modifications and a dozen or so DLC packs to get there, but as the ancient Roman warriors of yore used to say, "My honour was not yielded, but conquered merely." Disclaimer: That may actually have been Cleopatra.

Far Cry 4's PS4 version might have sold more this week, but by all reports, its first shipment moved like 93% off the shelves, so it was bloody hard to find. Low supply be damned, it's been a hot game. But even the market presence of new and attractive DBZ and Far Cry 4 only provided the tiniest of boosts to PS4.
The reaction to Evolve's 44 pieces of day-one DLC has not been kind, and you can hardly blame people for what feels like a full-priced $60 game being marketed like a free-to-play title. Day-one DLC is already a controversial topic, and despite having what looks to be a solid asymmetric multiplayer idea, Evolve is pressing the issue. So let's press.
