However, for as many fans as it gained, others have unceremoniously exited the fandom. After all, the survival horror game has gone through some mutations over the years. I happen to fall into the latter camp as I was great with the series up until Resident Evil 5. Coming back to play Resident Evil: Revelations 2 was an interesting exercise. It seems Ive been gone from the series long enough to find it extremely fresh, but also still feel connected to what it once was. As such, thats the perspective this review is coming from rather than a current Resident Evil devotee."
