However, this time it was not a crossover game but rather a standalone game titled Injustice: Gods Among Us, which received its own companion comic series. As with the new Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon and Netherrealm worked to craft a compelling story mode that is great for both fans of DC Comics and just fighting games in general.
