Over the course of divulging elements of Dragon Age: Inquisitions story, some fans have pointed out that it shares some similarities with the premise of BioWares 2012 science-fiction RPG, Mass Effect 3. In that story, different civilizations some of whom were mortal enemies banded together and unified to defeat an enemy threatened them all. While this does share some similarities with Inquisition on a fundamental level, one of the games producers has assured fans that this is not the case.
