Nexus is the last chapter of the Future saga and is one of the shortest games of the series, the shorter to be exact. It is longer than the spinoff Q-Force but not much more. The story goes after the events of A Crack in Time and with the exception of one or two references there is no connection to the previous games. The main link to the previous games is one of the planets where there is a museum in which the events of the previous games is reported through a robot guide. The game begins with an escort of a criminal, Vendra Prog, but the job went wrong and with the help of his brother Vendra Prog escapes.
