Buddy Acker and SlasherJPC team up and review Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 on the PlayStation 3: "Ever since the best Castlevania game, Symphony of the Night, released, developers have been trying to successfully repeat its formula. Some have succeeded, and some have failed. MercurySteam surprised Castlevania fans everywhere by taking the series in an entirely new direction with Lords of Shadow. Lords of Shadow worked because MercurySteam wasnt trying to repeat the past, but their obvious love for all things Castlevania shone through in the game. They then attempted another repeat of Symphony of the Night with Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate, a wholly uninteresting game filled with dull combat and centered around a useless leveling system"
