Max Level: Shinji Mikami was once the King of the survival horror genre, Lord of all things scary, the best at making us squirm in our seats and fear walking down a dimly lit hallway. Director on the unforgettable Resident Evil and Resident Evil 4 producer of many of the other popular entries in the series; Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, as well as a handful of others. With the genre as a whole slowly devolving into a fast pace action game mixed with a shoot em up style play style, Mikami has decided to return to the genre, and return in a huge way, with the upcoming The Evil Within, and I got a chance to check out some of the gameplay during my stay at PAX East.
