In fact, it got so bad that the developer infamously shut the game down and rebuilt it from the ground up. Thankfully, this decision seems to have been the right one in the long run, as this revamp, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, has seen a good amount of success since its launch last year on the PS3 and PC.
