Skulls of the Shogun Skulls of the Shogun was a bit of a surprise for me. Having missed its release on the Xbox 360, I picked it up on iOS on a whim. What I found was one of the best iOS strategy games in existence. The game absolutely seeps personality, with dialogue causing actual belly laughs on public transport and making me look a bit nutty. It doesnt rely on grids like most strategy games, allowing free movement across the battlefield. You must eat the skulls of the dead to power up your characters on each mission, trying to balance the need to do that and the fact that theyre also used for health recovery. There are also special units to unlock, with some of their powers extremely clever in the way they can interact in combat. Pick this up if you havent already.
