Comic books have become a big business or rather, comic book properties have. Marvel movies like Guardians, Iron Man, and The Avengers have made their fortune by being flashy, fast-paced, and most of all fun. Which makes it all the more curious that rival DC Comics has mandated a "no jokes" policy as part of its plan to take on Marvel's Hollywood empire.
