MMGN writes: Strangely, Hardline seems to encourage the stealth approach, although going the guns-blazing route is equally as satisfying. Youll scan an area, note enemies, disable any alarm systems, and, when confronted by no more than two enemies, either whip out your badge to freeze them in their tracks, or take them out with some well-placed shots. The latter choice will of course set off a nasty chain reaction of bullets, which still works seeing as though this is a Battlefield game. When a gun battle ensues, the action is fierce and hot, and Hardlines gunplay is just as tight as those in the series before it. It felt just as satisfying looking back and knowing Id arrested a bunch of bad guys as it did knowing Id shot them with some well-placed pistol shots. Thats what separates Hardline from others in the Battlefield series, and I feel its what will help define it in years to come, perhaps even set the bar for future games.
