Winner: Titanfall It's not that Microsoft and Respawn Entertainment failed to deliver an entertaining shooter that combines verticality with two forms of attacking the battlefield. Instead, Titanfall walks or possibly jetpacks away from this award's ceremony with biggest disappointment due to the fact that an entertaining set up was trampled on by big robot feet just to ensure another multiplayer shooter made it to market. Uncontextualized violence remains the video game industry's biggest negative force and Titanfall's campaign epitomizes that, particularly as story beats are shouted over by opponent's tent on cementing the word "fag" in the gamer lexicon.
