What struck me more than anything during my time on the show floor at PAX East was how many games from independent developers there were. So many of the big-name publishers like Ubisoft, Sony, and Electronic Arts were no where to be found. Instead, hundreds of tiny booths littered the floor, populated by game creators hoping to be the next Notch.
