Konami Releases Statement Regarding Kojima

The saga of Hideo Kojima and Konami continues, but the company attempted to clear the air earlier today with a few official statements on Twitter.

According to Kotaku, Konami explained all the recent name changes and how they signify the shift in personnel and structure at its offices and Kojima Productions. More importantly, the company reinforced Kojima's involvement with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
Naturally, director Kojima is playing the game, checking all the small details and giving directions to the staff as the title continues to completion. Bringing the thoughts and ideas of director Kojima in an open world game of the size of TPP is incredibly difficult, the director and the team thatÄ‚ËĂ˘â€šÂ¬Ă˘â€žËs been there from the start are coming together as one as they aim to finish the game, so please give them the support they need.
All of the statements were pretty cut-and-dried, so the rampant speculation of what went on behind the scenes will surely continue. At least it appears the turmoil won't affect the development of Metal Gear Solid V.
