I don't think there's ever a bad time for Final Fantasy VII. My acquisition of the Final Fantasy XV demo required me to actually connect my video game shit to the internet, which led me down this path of realizations: Oh, hey, I have a bunch of funds in my PSN wallet because there's never any reason to spend them.
