Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stated during an earnings briefing this afternoon that, with the exception of the Just Dance series, the developer will be effectively nixing last-gen consoles from their upcoming triple-A franchise releases: On Just Dance, we will continue to bring old-gen console versions. But on the other products like Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six, The Division, and the unannounced franchise, we will not have old-gen versions. Well, this was bound to happen eventually, though it would seem early for any leading publisher to abandon the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 so soon in the new-gen console cycle given their collective install base.
