Pikmin 3 is the highest placed Wii U title of the 43 games released for the platform thus far. The game did perform considerably better than the GameCube's Pikmin 2, however, which struggled into the chart at No.32 back in 2004.

Nintendo also released New Super Luigi U, which entered the chart at No.13.

The Last of Us falls to No.3 after spending six weeks at the top.
