Cross-gen DiRT titles in the works, studio suggests.

Asking fans what they would "like to see to see from us in 2014", one fan replied: "definitely a new dirt/rally game. But you're working on one already aren't you?"

"Well we're not," Codemasters replied, "not working on one ;)".

It's been a couple of years since we last saw a console rally title from Codemasters, with DiRT Showdown releasing in May 2012. Since then the firm has released Colin McRae Rally on iOS, a re-imagined version of PSOne's Colin McRae Rally 2.

Whatever form the games take, though, they'll likely be cross-generational, with the publisher...
