Previous saves no longer compatible because the foundations of the game have been rebuilt.
Godus game designer Jack Attridge explained the reason for the long wait for the new update.
"This update has been a while coming and we thank everyone who entered the Early Access for their patience," wrote Attridge on Steam. "It's taken a while because we made the decision to avoid trivial updates that would prolong the core problems.
