Rebellion says that it's made the game free to "get the series into the hands of new players" and "build buzz around the franchise" ahead of Sniper Elite 3's launch later this month.

"V2's one of Rebellion's most successful ever games, but it's been out for over two years now," said Rebellion co-founder Jason Kingsley.
