President of Nintendo America, Reggie Fils-Aime, was speaking to the Seattle Times about the newly revealed toys.
"You can expect them to be comparable to the Disney and Skylander products that are on the market."
In the UK, Skylanders range from £5-15 while Disney Infinity figures are around £10. Fils-Aime goes on to discuss his hopes for Amiibo to emulate the success of other NFC games.
