Reddit user shafiggy16 discovered that the controller can now be paired with the console over Bluetooth, doing away with the need for a USB cable which was previously required.

To pair up the DS4 follow these steps once the controller is connected using a USB cable.

1. Navigate to Accessory Settings and Manage Bluetooth Devices 2. Scan for a new Bluetooth Device 3. Unplug the controller from USB, press Share and PS Buttons. 4. Plug USB back in once controller is discovered and select Wireless Controller
