Ever since the late 1970s, there has been an ongoing shadow struggle between which beloved sci-fi franchise is the best, Star Wars or Star Trek. While there are fans of both franchises (myself included), there are plenty that vastly prefer one to the other and will gladly argue that viewpoint at great length in any forum. This competition has spilled over to the world of sci-fi mmos, as fans argue over which of the mmorpg games based upon these franchises is better. It's time for a sci-fi showdown: Star Trek Online versus Star Wars: The Old Republic.
