Finnish game developer Almost Human made their debut with the 2012 game Legend of Grimrock, a modern day throwback to the tile based dungeon crawling of games like Dungeon Master and Eye of the Beholder. The first Grimrock game threw combat encounters and puzzles at the player in equal measure as your custom built party of four adventurers made their way through the titular dungeon. In Legend of Grimrock 2 the game trades in its previous setting of a single dungeon with the deadly island of Nex; a forested locale whose canopy hides strange new environments, traps, enemies and puzzles. LoG 2 doesnt make sweeping changes to the formula; it instead expands and refines the systems introduced in the first game. LoG 2 begins with a simple set-up: your group of four has washed ashore on the island of Nex, with no way to get off the island your only choice is to walk forward, and so begins your time with Legend of Grimrock 2.
