Chalgyr's Game Room writes: In recent years we have seen an uptick in space-based games, from 4X titles like Endless Space and Civilizations: Beyond Earth, to space simulators like Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous, to titles like Kerbal Space Program and Space Engineers. Starting in the early 80's and flourishing through the 90's, video games based on/in/around space were numerous, providing players with all manner of entertainment and excitement.
