NZG: "Some games are akin to blockbuster action films, others are more like romantic comedies, depressing dramatical sagas, or any wonderful combination that can be thought up. To me, Never Alone by Upper One Games feels like an independant film that is trying to do something interesting with an old formula - but never quite reaching their lofty goals. Never Alone is inspired by the classic Iñupiat (Alaska Native) story Kunuuksaayuka; as told by Robert Nasruk Cleveland with permission from his daughter Minnie Aliitchak Gray. Its ostensibly a coming of age story about a girl (Nuna) who, with the help of an arctic fox, sets off on an adventure to find out why a blizzard is ravaging her village."
