Metro: 2D art specialists WayForward release what might be the best-looking game so far on the 3DS, and a loving homage to 16-bit gaming. Thanks to indie developers pixel art animation is still almost as prevalent today as it ever was. But there were some dark days a decade or so ago, before the advent of digital downloads, where the only outlet for non-polygon based graphics was on portable consoles.
