I spent many an hour playing the rally games of yore. Their names scatter to the wind now though, and all my mind can seem to remember are DiRT 2 and DiRT 3, both reasonable games in their own way but both a bit too close to the arcade end of the spectrum for my liking. Enter Codemasters latest DiRT game: DiRT Rally, and all of that changes when you first leave the road and wrap your car around a tree.
