Those that hoped to pick up a Dark Pit Amiibo pre-order before its launch day will be out of luck, as Bestbuy confirmed today that the new amiibo will not be available for pre-order at any time and will only be available for purchase at a Bestbuy location beginning on its release date. There was no reason given for this choice; however, it may be possible that Bestbuy hopes that stores are better-stocked on release date rather than allocating a large amount of stock to online orders. Currently, there is no release date for Dark Pit in North America, but the superstition is that the figurine will launch on Friday, July 31st.
