"I really wanted to like Calvino Noir. Ever since finishing L.A. Noir I have waited patiently for the next great noir title to satisfy my melancholy, storytelling desires. It looks good (other than stilted character animations), its wonderfully well written, and it captures the gloomy rain-soaked noir atmosphere perfectly. A sinister foreboding presence always accompanies your fellow protagonists, where its characters are only ever a plot twist away from betrayal. However, it never quite clicks. Its obvious there are some great ideas, but the gameplay and controls make it too clunky and over-cumbersome to really enjoy.
