"The Amnesia game franchise has been a popular series since its first release in Japan in 2011 for the PlayStation Portable. The initial game was so well received that a fan disc called Amnesia Later was released in 2012, followed by a sequel titled Amnesia Crowd in 2013. Although the game was making waves in Japan, its presence in the EU and NA stayed well below the radar until the Amnesia anime release in 2013.
