Fans queued for more than 24 hours at a number of stores across the country to purchase the eagerly anticipated successor to the Playstation 3 (PS3). The console was launched across Europe today and it comes a week after the PS4 was released in North America. In that region alone the PS4 sold more than a million units in 24 hours. This is a similar level of sales that Microsoft's new Xbox One console amassed during the first day of its release in North America and Europe.
