The simple notion of rebooting a video game franchise is enough to incite heated debate between fans. Some feel as though reimagining a franchise is unfair to the series as a whole, while others feel that a breath of fresh air can only be a positive for those series that have fallen out of the limelight. Tomb Raider, Castlevania and Devil May Cry all saw recent reboots that were met with critical and commercial success establishing the franchise reboot as a lasting and worthwhile endeavor.
