"Plans for a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie, codenamed 'Mingy Jongo,' have been cancelled despite heavy fan support, according to composer Grant Kirkhope. A group of ex-Rare employees, including Kirkhope, joined together in 2012 in hopes of making a game similar in kind to the first two games of the Banjo-Kazooie franchise: chock full of unique enemies, cartoony main characters and interesting zones to explore and collect in. The games namesake came from an enemy in Banjo-Tooie: a robot creation similar to Mumbo Jumbo that went by the name of Mingy Jongo.
