Cryptic Studios' free-to-play action MMO launching later this month; expansion Fury of the Feywild revealed.
Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios today announced free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game will launch June 20.
The launch will also mark the release of Gauntlgrym, Neverwinter's free level 60 PvE and PvP end-game content set in an ancient Dwarven city.
In addition, Cryptic Studios today announced the game's first free expansion, Fury of the Feywild. Set to launch later this summer, the content chronicles the Fomorian Giants' attempt to capture the Elven city of Sharandar. Additional details will be released as launch approaches.
Cryptic and Perfect World have big ambitions for Neverwinter, saying the game is "proof that Western free-to-play games, when built from the ground up, can compete with even the biggest boxed subscription titles."
