Booting up an isometric action RPG is like performing a character reset for the soul. Looking down on miniature fantasy dioramas whisks us back, not only to the classics that defined the genre, but further still, to childhood afternoons of Warhammer, where imagined adventures played out on a board dotted with polystyrene hills and cereal packets cosplaying as castles. Much of Sacred 3's appeal lies in ogling its shrunken art - a fact Keen Games acknowledges by regularly panning the camera to reveal pretty, if totally unreachable, background vistas.
