Eyes on FF: "I know this topic has been done to death over the last couple of years, but since I have quite recently just beat FFXIII for the first time, I was thinking it might be appropriate to start this topic again. Keep in mind I've only started XIII-2 now, and have yet to play LR, and I do believe those games will be better, but just bear with me for a while and try not to spoil too much."
Jamie from LzyGmrs writes : "As always, those new to the series might have a hard time understanding the back story of Metal Gear Solid, it's overly complex plot involving, politics, war, hypocrisy, and cleavage, leaving some scratching their heads. The Phantom Pain has an ample supply of all that, but toned back following criticism from the community on its particularly heavy delivery. Instead there's a more balanced mix that hangs on the edge of being serious and comically outrageous. You see this throughout, from inflatable soldiers used as decoys, horses pooping on command, to a more satisfying use of the good ol' cardboard box, the fun is there but doesn't trample over the dark serious nature of the game."

Kamill from PushStartPlay writes:
Unless a videogame is based on an already existing franchise, or a specific portion of such, we automatically assume that its story has been crafted in its entirety by the developer. Titles such as Max Payne 3 or Mafia II have been praised for their ingenious storytelling and character development by numerous members of the games media as well as other industry professionals. However, while elaborating on specific characters and their actions, many have neglected to evaluate these stories in their entirety. And by doing so, many have also failed to realise that both Max Payne 3, and Mafia II, are in fact adaptations of stories that have been familiar to the human race for hundreds of years.
Official Xbox Magazine Staff:
"To the untrained eye, it would appear Konamis Pro Evolution Soccer series hasnt done that much actual evolving over the course of its lifespan. Sure, the boots have gotten more colourful and the haircuts sillier, but its still basically the same game that wowed PS2 owners 14 years ago, isnt it? Maybe, maybe not. But the fact remains that although PES is seemingly as unchanging as Steven Gerrards haircut, every Autumn we feverishly await the latest game all the same. And thats because, despite their broad year-on-year similarities, each PES game is balanced differently from the last. Each one offers a fresh challenge that needs to be broken in like a new pair of football boots. And this years offering delivers arguably the most compelling battles between free-flowing offence and stifling defence weve ever seen in a football video game."
