Added: 17.03.2013 5:20 | 8 views | 0 comments

Another day, another freak. Welcome to episode 15 of Controller Freaks where James joins Aaron and I once more for more discussion about many thingsincluding such hits as: Sonic 06 and the train wreck that is Sonic the Hedgehog, Metal Gear Rising rants, God of War Ascension (and the best segue ever), The Last of Us, putting PS3 games on next-gen systems, cliché Star Fox references, Heavy Rain vs. The Last of Us, Press X to Jason apps, how the new Dragon Ball Z movie will probably be bad, the Super Sentai/Power Rangers lesson you never wanted, cell phone screen revolutions, internet rumors (or how to rile up James), and Facebook mind games Thanks for joining us once again. Well probably be back next week. Lets hope the government doesnt cut funding before then.

God of War Ascension Review | MTV Multiplayer

Added: 17.03.2013 5:20 | 13 views | 0 comments

MTV Multiplayer: "God of War: Ascension is a great addition to the God of War Saga, but it's still not the best entry into the series. Make no mistakes; Ascension is a "God of War" game from beginning to end. While Kratos does get few new toys to play with, it ultimately feels like more of the franchise that gamers have grown to love over the last few years."

USAToday- Review: God of War: Ascension

UST:It seems Ascension hasn't been blessed by the video game gods, if such entities did exist. It's a really strong title, with the same vicious combat and a clever multiplayer component. It just suffered the unfortunate luck of following up three very powerful console predecessors.

God of War: Ascension [Review] - ShogunGamer.com

Ian Fisher writes: Once again technically impressive, the ever amazing visuals cant save God of War: Ascension from being a rather tepid and disappointing game. Lacking a true sense of soul and direction, Ascension seems to be all over the place with pacing that never finds its footing, combat that is riddled with small issues that prevent it from feeling refined or evolved, and a story that literally does nothing to advance or deepen the existing God of War mythos. Aside from a surprisingly deep and fun multiplayer mode, this latest entry in the God of War series sadly shows major franchise fatigue that will likely have the biggest fans of Kratos disappointed with what has been delivered to them.

God of War: Ascension Review | GAMAGANDA

GAMAGANDA: "God of War: Ascension has a nice mix of elements in single-player, some cool multiplayer modes and on top of that it gives you a glimpse into Kratos' past, the last chance you'll ever get to meet him on the PlayStation 3. Should you play the game?"

DG:Though the series has been criticized for being a squandered opportunity in the area of storytelling, basically going from a classic Greek tragedy to a caricature of misogynist attitudes and violence, I have not found myself disappointed at all. In fact, I really like the story. Im not here to criticize its narrative many others have done and will continue to do that. Im here to tell you whether or not I found the game enjoyable, and I absolutely did. God of War: Ascension is awesome.

God of War: Ascension Review | Blistered Thumbs

God of War: Ascension is a disaster of a game, lacking the excitement, refinement, and quality of previous installments. I get the feeling that the developers really wanted to mix things up in the combat department, but unfortunately, while the game probably needed a few new tricks, the result here is a step in the wrong direction. Constant unfair deaths, glitches, and poor direction has resulted in a teeth grindingly painful experience that doesnt do justice to the franchise.
