When the first EDF was released on PlayStation 2 under the guise of Monster Attack in the west its true that the comparison was more than fitting. The assortment of super-sized enemies is mostly formed of 60s horror film-style giant insects, while dialogue is beyond the realms of cheesy. Over time though the EDF games have evolved, right up to the point where its clear that great amounts of both time and money are being spent on development. This is easily the most impressive looking instalment yet"

GameDynamo - "After years of being in brother Marios shadow, Luigi is finally getting some screen time. While he fights enemies and conquers worlds just as timely and efficiently as his brother, he is often standing idly by as Mario gets all of the attention. Im excited to see that Luigi finally gets to be a doctor too! Dr. Mario could easily be seen on the top of my list for favorite Tetris-style games of all time. I especially love the music! Im a sucker and a true fan of a good puzzle game (Tetris Attack being my favorite, and quite the classic). However, those expecting an entirely new game are going to be disappointed. Of course it's going to be similar! Still, Dr. Luigi does add a few new features that helps it stand out."
