Analyzing Tearaway: A Closer Look Into Your World

Added: 04.02.2014 5:16 | 9 views | 0 comments

oprainfall's Jonathan Higgins writes: "Tearaway plays by an entirely different set of rules. There are franchises like Metal Gear Solid that toy with the fourth wall in order to drive emotions and thoughts from the player, butTearaway outright dismisses the fourth wall from the start. If youve never played the game before, but still find yourself reading thispicture a premise similar to Bastion from Supergiant Games. Iotas story doesnt unfold as he walks forward, but you are left with the distinct impression that omniscient, snarky narrators are kind of making up this story as they go along. Ive stated as much in my review of the game, but, by the time it was all over, I was inspired to say so much more."

We Chat With Greg Kasavin of Supergiant Games About Transistor

Added: 23.01.2014 21:16 | 7 views | 0 comments

Hardcore Gamer: Supergiant Games is best known for Bastion, an insanely creative isometric RPG with layers, upon layers of imagination. It received plenty of awards, and each one well deserved. It would have been easy enough for the folks behind the hit to simply churn out a sequel, reuse some gorgeous artwork, and tweak the already excellent mechanics. And we would have been happy about it, as well, because its not everyday that a game like Bastion comes along. Instead, Supergiant decided to take the riskier route; the ventive approach. Have you heard about Transistor? Of course you have, but just in case Ill refresh your memory.
