Big games of June: Batman Arkham Knight, LEGO Jurassic World, Elder Scrolls Online

Added: 01.06.2015 10:16 | 1 views | 0 comments

MMGN writes: A few years ago, June was considered industry "down time". With the annual E3 extravaganza taking place and the pre-Christmas rush only a few months away, the big titles tend to be reserved for later in the year. Sony bucked this trend in 2013, however, releasing The Last Of Us on PlayStation 3 shortly after E3. Last year, the likes of Murdered: Soul Suspect and EA Sports UFC headlined the month. In 2015, one of the year's biggest games comes straight after E3, with Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Knight wrapping up the epic Arkham series. What else is out in Australia in June? Check out the month's big releases below.

DS: With this year's E3 gaming expo just around the corner, June is typically a month known for blockbuster gaming announcements rather than gaming releases. However, while it's true the release schedule is a little sparser than usual, there are a few anticipated launches on the horizon, such as the concluding chapter in the Batman Arkham series, the console debut of Elder Scrolls Online and the latest LEGO adventure.

Five Exciting Things We Did In Batman: Arkham Knight | GameInformer

Game Informer: "In less than a month, fans will be able to control the caped crusader once again in Batman: Arkham Knight. I was fortunate enough to get hands-on time with the game at a recent Warner Bros. press event in Santa Monica. Here I experienced the tantalizing world and some of the intriguing things it offers. Two things became immediately evident: Being the Batman never gets old, and Rocksteady continues to make his high-flying antics extremely thrilling."

'Batman: Arkham Knight' is a fun distraction, but it's not Batman | Endgadget

Added: 30.05.2015 15:17 | 2 views | 0 comments

Endgadget: Neon green and red lights flash as Batman maneuvers the Batmobile through loop de loops in a gaudy underground racetrack. On the streets of Gotham, giant, bulbous tanks strafe around each other shooting at the speeding Bat-vehicle as it tries to escape. Onscreen, a computer-animated Alfred appears and gets snippy with master Bruce. This is a description of the things I did in a demo of Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Knight, due out this June on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. And if any of the above sounds a whole hell of a lot like the camp film Batman Robin, well, that's because it's eerily similar. If you were a fan of that Joel Schumacher-directed 1997 nipple fest or the open-world distractions of the 2011 video game Arkham City, then that gameplay might sound pretty awesome. But for a fan of Batman: Arkham Asylum like myself, however, this sample of Arkham Knight was disconcerting.
