Arkham Knight does a lot of things very well the main story is the best of Rocksteady's three, the game looks incredible and it truly lives up to that "be the Batman" tag line but it is all diluted by an array of scattershot ideas that only bloat the experience. The Batmobile is often crammed into the game where it doesn't belong and the repetition of those side missions becomes a chore.

Paste: Batman: Arkham Knight walks a thin tightrope. It wants to be a very particular kind of narrative-heavy game while also being an open world experience. It wants to stress the immediacy of everything, at all times, while allowing the player to do whatever she wants between those moments of immediacy. It wants to dwell on deep psychological issues for minutes at a time while also giving me a chance to punch a bunch of baddies. It wants to let us all be The Bat while understanding that he isnt someone we should all want to be. Arkham Knight is a rat king of a game, and much like an actual rat king, it has a very hard time sustaining life.

PC World: The thing about Arkham Knight, about reviewing Arkham Knight, is I didnt even hate the game. Its a summer blockbuster. Its soda and popcorn. Its something that goes down smoothly (aside from the stupid tank sections), but at the end youve consumed nothing at all of value.
