ThisisXbox: After having spent some time playing the astounding Bioshock Infinite (which we scored a staggering 10/10), it got us thinking about about Elizabeths character. Is she the perfect companion? We thought wed run through gamings most extravagant companions to see how she would stack up to the rest. We define a companion as either an AI controlled partner or just someone talking down a headset to help enhance the story and your objectives.

This is, in the end, a surprising game. One that touches on religion and racism of America in the early 20th Century; has elements of classic steampunk, whilst blending in magic and demonlogy; is colourful and vibrant, yet feels as creepy and eerie as as the first two (darker) games. Its a blend of contradictory elements that all come together to form one of the best games released, so far, this year.

Analog Addiction writes: "Bioshock Infinite has been such a long time coming that youd be forgiven for thinking youd never be able to play the game. First revealed in August 2010, the game has undergone many changes, most notably with the appearance of Elizabeth over the years as well as the floating city of Columbia itself. Before its announcement, the game was already in development for some time so its an impressive display of talent that Irrational has not only managed to get Bioshock Infinite out of the door, theyve also managed to keep it relevant. Irrational have made sure that Bioshock Infinite not only looks and plays at the same level as games in 2013, theyve put out one that looks better and plays better than most."
