Bioshock Infinite is a game that built on the foundations laid out by the original but manages to inject its own individuality. Its clear that infinite is a vast improvement over the original. Its a faster pace than the original but still carries the sense of dread and explorations.

Bioshock 2: A Retrospective

Added: 03.04.2013 14:20 | 0 views | 0 comments

Its been said more than once that sometimes a story should know exactly when it needs to end. Not because theres no more that needs to be shown of the world, often its quite the opposite. Instead often due to either sequels not standing up to what came before them or outright contradicting what made them so great in the first place. This often counts for films and novels more than anything else, but a number people seem to think this applies to the Bioshock franchise. Arguments are usually that the first game was enough to explore the themes of its storyline and a sequel set in Rapture ultimately undermined the originals tale. This seems a very odd stance to take because for all intents and purposes Bioshock 2 improved upon a huge number of points within the first game. Not so much going nuts and trying to outdo everything that came beforehand but going in a different direction while building upon what wed seen. Especially in terms of its morality, storyline and choices.

One Hit Pixel Presents: A Brief Encounter With... Bioshock Infinite

Added: 03.04.2013 14:20 | 0 views | 0 comments

One Hit Pixel: "A Brief Encounter is a first impressions capture of live gameplay and live reactions to stuff that happens in an early stage of the game. Each one is played for a few minutes beforehand to get a general first impression, before video capture takes place. This allows for story segments to be skipped if possible as to not show many spoilers. Depending on the nature of the game, you may find tutorial sections, but you will also get a complete look at the modes available."
