In honor of the release of Bioshock Infinite, Den of Geek brings you a three part series examining and celebrating the Bioshock universe. This series will focus on the philosophy, politics and religion of Rapture, Lambs takeover and finally, a look at the new Bioshock game: a game that has removed us from Rapture entirely and takes a completely new approach to dystopia. This is part one of the series.

Bioshock Infinite is a great game that proves there's still life in the present generation of console games. The title has a great story that will suck you in and make you storm through it's 10 to 15 hours of gameplay all too quickly.

The Geek Link writes - With Bioshock: Infinite we are welcomed back into a thought provoking universe where the story being told in the previous games is only equaled by the beautiful landscape surrounding it. Irrational Games has released Bioshock: Infinite into the wild, but can the third iteration in the Bioshock franchise live up to the lofty heights the previous games set?

Despite how much I enjoyed Bioshock Infinite, I'm not at all motivated to go back and play through it again. The ending is quite a mind f*** so I guess I'm tent on looking back and doing my best to digest it. In fact, I'm likely to stick to handhelds this weekend, mostly thanks to the fact that I've got a new copy of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon staring me in the face.

Post Arcade: "Brimming with both big ideas and visceral action, Irrational Games' BioShock Infinite might be best described as a literary shooter."

Up in the clouds in the year of 1912, a city named Colombia awaits, and a girl with special abilities whom need saving. The game is by far one of the most creative I have personally played in years, and it certainly seems to have fun with itself. The game leaks creativity at every turn, and is home to some of the best action I have seen in a shooter. The game does have some problems that I will get around to later, but even with them, it is by far the best game I have seen all year.

Impulse Gamer: "Everything is designed to brilliant details. From character clothing, to the architecture of buildings and the moldings and bits of machinery and piping that seem to have something to do with how the city is staying in the air. It fires the imagination and puts that spark into adventure once again."
