"After having two adventures through the destroyed city of Rapture, Irrational Games has decided to give gamers another look at the world of BioShock, but this time we take to the skies in BioShock Infinite. With promises of a brand new gameplay experience, an entirely original storyline, a new companionship system, plus some unique powers, the game quickly caught the interest of fans and newcomers alike. While the first two BioShock titles were critically successful, can BioShock Infinite live up to the hype or did it fly too close to the sun?" - JPS

PCGMedia - BioShock Infinite review

Bioshock Infinite isnt just a shooter. Almost every single gameplay mechanic, polygon, and pixel of environment art exists for one reason and one reason alone: as a storytelling device. How much you enjoy a story can be very subjective. Characters, for example, can be relatable or totally unbelievable based on your experiences. To invest all of your efforts into telling a story is a risk few games take, but Bioshock Infinite bet the farm on it.

Bioshock Infinite Review - Gamer Euphoria

Ahead of you looms a dark, moody and mysterious lighthouse sitting in the middle of the ocean, separate from land and lore alike. Youre plonked at its entrance and forced to explore whats inside, and whats already a mystery in itself is simply a conduit to trigue. Six years ago, you entered a lighthouse and plunged into the depths of the ocean below to explore the vast wilderness of Rapture and the horrors that lay within. This year, that lighthouses thrusts you in the opposite direction to a land sitting not with the fishes but with the birds, and suddenly all that mystery becomes an empty canvas with each piece of the picture becoming apparent the more you explore it.

Fresh off of a trip to Pax East the GE crew is joined by our good friend Ben(@b_chiu) and the one and only Harold (@usfhbomb) from the Cross Border Gaming podcast. Ben's visit to Pax East was his first gaming convention. Harold is now the proud owner of a Wii U. Tiny(@tiny415) is back stateside and his affinity for Amtrak remains. Mike(@AssaultSuit) is actually excited about some games and Aaron's (@Ind1fference) fear of prisons is further augmented. We also talk about: Pax East, pruno, Chipotle, Last of Us, Cards Against Humanity, Dive Kick, Space Team, Duck Tales Remastered, Bioshock Infinite, LocoCycle, Ouya, Saints Row 4, Tiny Brains, Transistor and more.

Aaron writes - "Bioshock Infinite has some big footsteps to follow in. For those that are unaware, or have terrible taste, let me tell you that the original Bioshock is one of the best games of all time. Might be the best first-person shooter ever, and its ratings would agree. (I will do my best to discuss Infinite candidly, because some little things could be major spoilers.) You are Booker Dewitt, and you have debt to pay. Bring us the girl, and wipe away the debt, the game reminds you on a regular basis. Upon opening, you are being taken to a mysterious lighthouse (sound familiar?) in a rowboat while two people seemingly babble on about (at the time) God knows what. Once you arrive, they up and abandon you, leaving you to venture to the lighthouse alone. With some inevitable slow paced sight seeing in mind, you quickly ascend the lighthouse, finding a bit uncomfortable imagery along the way. At the top, there is an elevator of sorts, leaving you no choice but to hop aboard. An...
