Game Under Podcast Episode 15

Added: 21.07.2013 23:17 | 0 views | 0 comments

That's right, folks! It's time for another big show, and Tom Towers and Phil Fogg do not disappoint; coming in at almost 3 and a half hours! But over those 3 and a half hours they keep things moving with aural reviews and impressions of Hotline Miami, The Walking Dead: 400 Days and Bioshock 2. But what's a big show without features? They even remember to do the news! Speaking on Atlus, the July NPD, and Tom's humorous failure to interview Cryptic Studios COO, Craig Zinkievich

The Problem with Being too Polished

Hardcore Gamer: The Last of Us and Bioshock Infinite are leaps and bounds above many other games released this year, so it's bizarre to criticize them for the odd missed detail. Im fine with having little flaws in the games atmosphere if the rest of it is so captivating. I just dont find it amusing when people continuously bring up these same little nitpicks about each game. What happened to the days when people just focused on the good in games?

The Balcony Bioshock Infinite vs The Last Of Us Roundtable Debate

Added: 14.07.2013 18:17 | 4 views | 0 comments

This week on The Balcony: On episode six of The Balcony, I am joined by Marc Washington of the Phoenix Project and Robert Clarke of the Level Zero Podcast. We start the show by comparing the impact of the stories from The Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite and The Walking Dead (no spoilers). Which companion character had the greater impact, was it Ellie, Clementine or Elizabeth? And why game play is the deciding factor it comes to telling a story in a video game. As the discussion continues we debate the importance of PC gaming vs console gaming and why both have their merits, it is one conversation you do not want to miss!"
