Who Is The Better Character? Ellie (The Last of Us) or Elizabeth (Bioshock Infinite)?

Omnigamer writes "There is only one real comparison you can draw from both The Last of Us and Bioshock Infinite and that is the two main characters. In The Last of Us you have Joel and Ellie and in Bioshock Infinite you have Booker and Elizabeth. There is no real comparison you can do between Joel and Booker, a large part being you never even see Booker (although both characters are voiced by Troy Baker). However, Elizabeth and Ellie are two characters you can compare, because you always see them and they are important to the plot of the games that they are in."

| Batman: Arkham Origins slated for Oct. 25
Added: 20.05.2013 17:20 | 44 views | 0 comments
"Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has unleashed some more details regarding Batman: Arkham Origins, including a trailer and a release date of Oct. 25 for PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360.
Batman will be voiced by Roger Craig Smith, whose vocal chops include Chris Redfield, Ezio and Sonic the Hedgehog. While Kevin Conroy is still confirmed to have his voice featured in Arkham Origins, at this point it is unknown how it will be featured. Joker will also be in this prequel, with his voice being handled by Troy Baker, aka Booker DeWitt from Bioshock Infinite, Snow from Final Fantasy XIII, and Two-Face and Robin from Arkham City.
No news yet on the 3DS/Vita Blackgate iteration, but Id wager a reveal is not too far off. Watch the new trailer not only is it pretty freaking awesome, but it features some of the villains we can expect to see, including Black Mask, Deathstroke and Deadshot."

Although they may not appear similar on the surface, BioShock Infinite and The Last of Us have a common premise. They put players in the role of men hired to escort their female clients to some far-off destination. In the case of Booker DeWitt, BioShock Infinites protagonist has to ferry Elizabeth away from Columbia and bring her to New York. With Joel from The Last of Us, hes hired to smuggle 14-year-old Ellie away from a militarized quarantine zone amid a world destroyed by a zombifying pandemic.
The developers goal for both titles is to get players to genuinely care for their charges, and although BioShock Infinite was a great game, it fell short of that target. You liked Elizabeth but it was hard to bond with her. (The game is much better at creating a provoctive world anyway.) On the other hand, I had the chance to preview two levels last night in The Last of Us, and even without context, Naughty Dog appears to be more successful at building ties among...

Kotaku - I love it when games without traditionally large cosplay followings turn up amazing costumes. We're seeing a bit of that this week, from a fantastic Dishonored outfit to a Fire Emblem piece Nintendo could/should have used to advertise the game.

From its onset, BioShock Infinite is a game about a man who seeks to find a girl named Elizabeth and recover her from the flying city of Columbia. That said, it could also be a game about an insatiably hungry man.
