OXM - You've probably played the opening ten minutes of BioShock Infinite, by now. If not, well, what are you waiting for? Booker DeWitt's introduction to Columbia is - almost literally - a heavenly experience, as you ascend through the clouds and a golden, gleaming archipelago comes into view, floating in the sky.

Kevin of Xboxer360 writes, "The year is 1912 and New Yorker and former army man Booker DeWitt has amassed a debt that he cant repay. However, if he can travel to the city above the clouds known as Columbia and bring back a young woman named Elizabeth, who has some strange abilities, the debt will be cleared. Though as you can probably guess, it isnt going to be that easy, not by a long shot.
To say the story is muddled would be selling it short, its all over the freaking place! There seems to be a multitude of ideas swimming about here vying for defiance. Entire plots rise, take over, then are disregarded, barely to be mentioned again. The most interesting story is the main one; Booker and Elizabeth trying to escape the bizarre city while discovering twists along the way, but for almost half of the game youre forced along on fetch quests and asked to backtrack constantly across the same areas numerous times."

"BioShock Infinite has affected me beyond all doubt. Ive not stopped thinking about it for the past few days those final 17 minutes playing in repeat over and over in my mind like a tear in my brains space-time continuum. This ending, however, is not without its critics. Its a polarizing affair that can strangely offer both a conclusive ending to the tale of Booker DeWitt or a devastating cliff-hanger depending on which way youve interpreted the story thus far..." Mike Suskie writes: "I'm used to BioShock games tucking their most important characters away in other rooms, so seeing Irrational put so much effort into someone who's at the very forefront from the get-go works wonders to make me feel more connected to the story's happenings. Booker may be the hero, and he's no slacker in the character development field himself, but Infinite is Elizabeth's show."

Aaron writes - "Bioshock Infinite has some big footsteps to follow in. For those that are unaware, or have terrible taste, let me tell you that the original Bioshock is one of the best games of all time. Might be the best first-person shooter ever, and its ratings would agree. (I will do my best to discuss Infinite candidly, because some little things could be major spoilers.) You are Booker Dewitt, and you have debt to pay. Bring us the girl, and wipe away the debt, the game reminds you on a regular basis. Upon opening, you are being taken to a mysterious lighthouse (sound familiar?) in a rowboat while two people seemingly babble on about (at the time) God knows what. Once you arrive, they up and abandon you, leaving you to venture to the lighthouse alone. With some inevitable slow paced sight seeing in mind, you quickly ascend the lighthouse, finding a bit uncomfortable imagery along the way. At the top, there is an elevator of sorts, leaving you no choice but to hop aboard. An...
