Alex Kidd is coming to the TI-99/4A Computer Thanks to Homebrew Developer

Carl Williams writes, "The classic, and completely forgotten by Sega, game Alex Kidd is being ported to the Texas Instruments 99/4A computer. This is not an official port but one by a homebrew developer who just happens to be a huge Alex Kidd fanatic. Some things were sacrificed for this port, which is to be expected as the hardware is quite different, such as graphical detail and some sound effects took a hit. Other than that, this is Alex Kidd running on the Texas Instruments 99/4A."

GR:
Puzzle games don't have to reinvent the wheel to succeed, but a creative mechanic goes a long way. Case in point: Mushroom 11. One look and it appears to be a game in which the player controls a giant blob organism and pushes it along with the mouse. There's only a small bit of truth to that premise, and my hands-on time with Mushroom 11 at PAX Prime's Indie Megabooth revealed how the game's control scheme helps create a unique puzzle experience.

Board games? Card games? And adorable animals?! Yes, Armello has it all, and its launching on PS4 next week. We sit down with Director Trent Kusters to discuss this beautiful project. As an added bonus, the Blogcast team can hardly believe that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is out next week (alongside Mad Max). Too many games! Enjoy the show.

| Mortal Kombat X Not Coming to Last Gen Consoles, We Look at Reasons Why

Carl Williams writes, "You read that headline right, Mortal Kombat X is no longer coming to the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 (Nintendo Wii owners welcome their fellow gamers). It seems that Mortal Kombat X on the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 just didnt measure up to the quality of the Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions, as stated by a community manager for Warner Brothers Games. Sounds suspicious to me."

| Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Beta Gets Trashed By PC Gamers on Steam Reviews
Added: 29.08.2015 20:18 | 24 views | 0 comments
GameRevolution: "Ever since the glory days of Battlefield: Bad Company 2, PC gamers have been at odds with the semi-annual, primarily console-based shooter that is Call of Duty, and Black Ops III seems to be no exception.
The beta is already at a mostly negative rating on Steam, (for comparison, the almost completely busted Batman: Arkham Knight is at a mixed rating), with more than 2000 reviews and counting. The positive reviews in this section are mostly jokes, i.e. Uninstall button worked just fine 10/10."
